Spanish Language Proficiency Assessment

Franklin Pierce Schools offers the dual language program at Ford Middle School and Franklin Pierce High School to support students’ development as bilingual, bicultural learners.
Spanish Language Proficiency AssessmentStudents who speak Spanish at home or are familiar with the Spanish language are invited to take the Spanish Language Proficiency Assessment to help parents and teachers work together to determine a language path that may be best for students (see Spring 2025 testing timeline below).

The test (STAMP) is based on the standards of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and will take approximately 90 minutes. It will evaluate reading comprehension, written expression, listening comprehension, and oral expression. The test will be given at your student’s elementary and middle school as part of the school day. Participation in this assessment and the Dual Language is entirely voluntary.
