Spanish Language Proficiency Assessment
Franklin Pierce Schools offers two options at Ford Middle School to support students’ development as bilingual, bicultural learners, through the Dual Language and Heritage courses.
Spanish Language Proficiency AssessmentStudents who speak Spanish at home or are familiar with the Spanish language are invited to take the Spanish Language Proficiency Assessment to help parents and teachers work together to determine a language path that may be best for students (see Spring 2025 testing timeline below).
The test (STAMP) is based on the standards of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and will take approximately 90 minutes. It will evaluate reading comprehension, written expression, listening comprehension, and oral expression. The test will be given at your student’s elementary school as part of the school day. Participation in this assessment and the Dual Language or Heritage Spanish Program is entirely voluntary.
