Support Services

The Purchasing office provides contracts for supplies and services within the State of Washington and Franklin Pierce Schools guidelines. Purchasing prepares Invitation to Bids (BIDS), Request for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Quotes (RFQ) for supplies, services and equipment throughout Franklin Pierce Schools.

Individual departments and schools purchase supplies, services and equipment at cost-effective prices from a wide range of established contracts and suppliers.

The Capital Projects Department manages the planning, design and construction of new and remodeled facilities. The department oversees all architect and engineering consultants, and construction contractors on large and small projects.

Statement of Qualifications - SF 330 - Design Consultants and/or Specialists wanting to participate in bidding and quoting of construction projects must complete a Statement of Qualifications. Submittals should include a letter of interest, Standard Form 330 and any other information identifying your experience in providing planning, architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering or other related services to school facilities. The Maintenance & Operations Department provides year-round 24/7 support to Franklin Pierce Schools by providing services such as: building maintenance, grounds maintenance, custodial services, TPCHD/DoH and LnI inspections, warehouse management and district mail delivery.

Public Works and Small Works RosterAll construction work done on District property is considered "public works" and is subject to Washington State laws regulating public work. This includes paying prevailing wages. Current prevailing wage rates are available on the Labor and Industries website. Intents to Pay and Affidavits of Wages Paid forms are required of all contractors, sub-contractors and sub-tier contractors. These forms are also available from Labor and Industries. The Intent must be applied for before any work begins, and the Intent must be approved before payments can be made.
