Nutrition Services

A Nutrition Services staff member must be present whenever a school kitchen is used to ensure compliance with Franklin Pierce Schools' permit requirements through the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

If you plan to use a school kitchen as part of your facility rental, please contact Nutrition Services at (253) 298-4618 with any questions or to discuss your needs.

Meal Prices & Payments

Every enrolled student has access to a breakfast and a lunch at no cost through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. If students wish to purchase an extra entree or a second meal at any of our secondary schools, they will need to have money on their account or pay at the time of purchase. Payments are accepted at all secondary schools by cash or check. Over the phone payments can be made with the Nutrition Services office, with a Visa or Mastercard, by calling (253) 298-4618.

Prices for Adult Meal and Extra Meal for Students

Breakfast $2.50

Lunch $4.50

Milk is $0.65 if not getting a student breakfast or lunch                      

*A choice of 1% plain milk or non-fat chocolate milk is offered daily with breakfast and lunch.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
