Learning Support Services

A variety of programs and services are managed by the Franklin Pierce Schools Learning Support Services Department. 
 
They include:
•  Special Education
•  LAP (Learning Assistance Program)
•  Title I
•  Section 504
•  Early Learning and Child Find Programs
•  MTSS (Multi-tiered System of Supports) 

Students are assessed by a variety of methods in order to be eligible for one or more of the special services.  

 

PUBLIC NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SCHOOL RECORDS
Franklin Pierce Schools 402 hereby gives notice that Special Education records no longer needed to provide educational services to individuals with disabilities who were enrolled in the district as a student and left the district during the 2011-2012 school year, will be destroyed by shredding.  If you would like to obtain a file before destruction, you must contact Franklin Pierce Schools, Learning Support Services before August 31, 2019.  In accordance with Federal Regulation 34 CFR 300.624 and Washington Administrative Code (WAC 392-172A-05235) and FERPA.

Annual Report Card Information:

Washington State has a Report Card to share information about our K-12 schools. It is important for parents, families, community members, and students to have updated information to engage in your schools. Some of the information you will find includes:

  • School/district performance across multiple student measures, such as assessment proficiency, graduation rates, student growth, and discipline
  • Data on classroom teachers, such as teacher qualification and student-teacher ratios
  • Information about school and district finances, such as per-pupil expenditures

To find this information, please visit https://washingtonstatereportcard.ospi.k12.wa.us/. From there, you will find a field to type in our district or school name. Press “Go” to view the data requested. You may come into our district office to request this information printed out for you.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is a representative survey of student achievement in core subject areas. It provides useful information about student academic achievement at the state and national level. There is no LEA-specific data in this report.
