3410 Student Health

The superintendent or designee will arrange for health services for all students. Such services will include but are not limited to:

  1. The maintenance of student health records;
  2. The development of procedures at each building for the isolation and temporary care of students who become ill during the school day;
  3. Consulting services of a licensed healthcare provider and/or Registered Nurse;
  4. Vision (both distance and near) and hearing screening; and
  5. Immunization records and screening.

Health services may also include dental health screening and referral activities. The superintendent is authorized to establish requirements for individuals or entities seeking to provide dental health activities, including, but not limited to, an agreement to protect and hold the district harmless from liability in connection with the service. If follow up care is recommended referral information may be sent home to parents following these screenings.
