Renewal of two expiring levies to support EVERY student
Franklin Pierce Schools is asking voters to renew two levies:
- Proposition 1: Educational Programs & Operations
- Proposition 2: Safety, Technology & Capital Improvements
These levies will sustain staffing, programs, technology, and safe and functional facilities students rely on every day.
February 2026 Levy Overview
Prop 1: Educational Programs & Operations
Funds approximately 15% of day-to-day school operations.
This replacement levy pays for essential staff and programs the state does not fully fund, including:
- 200+ staff positions: teachers (smaller class sizes), nurses, counselors, librarians, paraeducators, and safety staff
- Learning supports: curriculum, classroom materials, Special Education, multilingual learners, and Dual Language programs
- Student opportunities: early learning, arts, music, athletics, college and career readiness, and extracurricular activities
Prop 2: Technology, Safety & Capital Projects
This replacement levy Invests in modern, safe, and reliable learning environments. This levy supports:
- Technology for all students: learning devices, tech support, classroom technology, digital curriculum, and online learning tools
- Safety and cybersecurity: upgraded security systems, data protection, communication systems, and emergency response tools
- Facility upkeep: roof and mechanical repairs, HVAC and air quality upgrades, safe water systems, lighting, athletic and community spaces, and other small capital projects
