FPS 2030: Capital Facilities Planning Documents

FPS 2030

FPS 2030 is a planning process that began in 2010. It is a committee comprised of parents, staff, and community members -- everyone is welcome to attend and participate. The charge of the FPS 2030 committee is to develop capital facilities recommendations to the School Board of Directors. The Capital Levy that was approved by voters in 2012 was comprised of projects recommended to the School Board of Directors by the FPS 2030 committee convened from 2010 through 2011. But the capital levy was not the only recommendation the group made to the School Board of Directors at that time.

Back in 2011, the FPS 2030 committee also recommended to the School Board of Directors that the district reconvene the committee in 2015 to begin planning the district’s next phase of capital facility improvements and recommend a list of projects that will comprise a bond measure.

Now, in 2015, the reconvened FPS 2030 committee has met three times -- January 20, January 27, and March 5 -- to follow through on the recommendations from four years ago.  All three meetings have been well attended with over 70 people coming to each. There are a total of five meetings planned, two of which have not yet occurred.

All members are encouraged to attend and participate in the district’s FPS 2030 process.
